Descriptions that become categories
Statements come with abbreviated, repetitive descriptions. Common examples of how transactions usually appear:

Questions about Mercado Pago statements
Does Categorizei recognize Mercado Pago statements?
Yes. The system already knows the Mercado Pago account statement in PDF. You upload the file and the transactions are read with date, description and amount, checked against the opening and closing balances of the statement itself.
Which format should I download from Mercado Pago?
The account statement PDF is read directly. Excel and CSV are also accepted: the first time, the system suggests the columns and you confirm.
What if the PDF asks for a password to open?
The Mercado Pago statement PDF usually opens without a password, and that is the one the system reads. If your file is protected by a password, the system lets you know it can't open it and asks for the same statement in another format, such as Excel or CSV.
What about the credit card statement?
Not yet. Today Categorizei reads card statements from Itaú (PDF, Excel or CSV), Banco do Brasil and Linker (PDF). For your Mercado Pago card, download the spreadsheet template in Import > Credit Card Statements, paste the purchases and import it.
Does uploading the same month twice create duplicates?
No. The system recognizes transactions that were already imported, and only new transactions use credits.
